| Feedarea.de looks only partially maintained. Displaying special characters in the catalog currently is wrong and the search function doesn't show satisfying results. Even when given a name, the desired feed is not found. Registration is very simple and created within seconds. On their own words the registration shall be reviewed and editorially activated within 24 hours. | |||||||||

| Feedarea.de optically does a fairly good impression. Meaningful figures are not available. The feed entries is an estimate only. The provider apparently preferres records of podcasts. In the podcasts, at least the homepage link is set to "follow". I currently don't know if it's a bug in the site that the homepage links to the feeds have absolutely no function (neither follow, nor nofollow). From the perspective of link building this RSS directory is worthless for the registration of feeds. | |||||||||

| RSS-Suche.eu is a fully automated search page. Apparently will not be sought in a separate database, but at seo-rss.de. How this works exactly, that I check yet. The site operators , however, are also not very straight with honesty. At the point at which each user would suspect a navigation an Adsense text link ad bar is placed, which can have no purpose other than ripping off unsuspecting users (and Google Adsense) to outwit Adsense revenue. This is the only one explanation I have for this.! | |||||||||

This list is not exhaustive and is constantly updated. If someone knows more directories or has other important information for me, I am grateful for each message (if any post in a comment at the bottom of this page). RSS directories are similar to web directories. They consist of topic-relevant categories in which the feeds are classified.
The advantage of RSS-Directories
The advantage of RSS-Directories are that not only one link is registered, but in general a preview page will appear at which all links of the feeds are listed separately.
Another advantage is that RSS feeds are updated constantly as a rule in the RSS directories, and thus also the newly added feeds become automatically listed. One need no longer worry about the renewed registration.
If all links have the follow-attribute in a directory good back links on the home page can be generated.
What differences exist between RSS-Directories?
- What ranks the directory on Google and if necessary, at Alexa?
- How old is the directory and how many entries does it already have?
- Are the links forwarded internally or via javascript?
- Are there used direct links and are they "follow" or "nofollow"?
- Will the links be automatically updated?
- Are there Tag Clouds for additional internal linking?
- Is the list maintained - with editorial and marketing consequence?
- Is there a duty to register before entering a feed?
- Is the entry simple and uncomplicated?
